Jenny's
parents and her sister's family all lived with them in a big house on
Cherry Street in Toledo.
After five
years in Toledo, Willard
and Jenny moved to Flint, Michigan. Her parents
soon followed.
Jenny stayed involved in music. She was active in the St.
Cecelia Society and the Flint radio station, where she eventually
became staff violinist and program director.
She
had a program every night. Her intro was Just a Song and
Twilight
and her sign-off was Whern It Comes to the End of a Perfect Day.

Jennie was a member
of a trio in Flint -- pianist, cello and Jennie on violin.
They did a lot of traveling around Michigan and put on
concerts. Most music was live at that time. Her
husband drov them.
Jennie had two boys,
Willard and James (Jim), three years apart.

The Daniels sisters
dropped out of Grand Rapids High and never
finished.
Willard
Nickel did finish and worked as a high
school instructor for one year. Then he and Jennie were
married, in Ohio, where Willard began his long career as an engineer in
the auto industry.
